Caliber Salt Guards and Ramp Shields

When the snow is falling and you’re trying to reach the trailhead, pay attention to the fact that road salt, dirty spray, oily grime and debris could be showering your snowmobile in yuck without a Caliber salt shield.  These salt shields will not corrode or rust, because they are made of quality, durable molded HDPE plastic.  In fact, this is the same ultra-strength plastic that is found in the truck bed liner industry. Caliber salt shields come in two basic forms: The Caliber 13401 Poly Shield III Series Snowmobile Trailer HDPE Plastic Salt Guard which is 25.5 Inches Tall or the Caliber 13404 V-Front Snowmobile Trailer HDPE Plastic Ramp Shield which is 30 Inches Tall and designed for the v-front drive on/drive off style snowmobile trailers only.

The Caliber 13401 Poly Shield III Series Snowmobile Trailer HDPE Plastic Salt Guard fits straight front trailers that are between 95-inches and 102-inches in width.  It has an aerodynamic design with special channels molded into the shape that push the salty road spray away from your snowmobiles, ATVs or motorcycles and your trailer during towing. The Poly Shield III can be removed and reattached in seconds with the quick detach kit that is included with the mounting hardware. 

The Caliber 13404 V-Front Snowmobile Trailer HDPE Plastic Ramp Shield also protects against salt and dirt spray, but has the added function of folding down into a drive on/drive off ramp. Low Pro Grip Glides are installed on the ramp for easy loading and unloading with molded grips down the center for added traction. Stainless steel hardware is included and adapter kits are available for easy installation on Aluma/Sledbed trailers or Triton Double Axle/SnoPro trailers with the v-front configuration.
