All Attwood battery boxes meet ABYC standard E-10 and U.S.C.G. Specification Number 183.420 as an OEM-installed battery hold-down system. The Attwood Group 9065-1 Standard Series 24 Battery Box is made of durable polypropylene construction for total acid resistance. The hold-down straps resist 350 pounds of force, nearly four times the U.S.C.G. requirement. Attwood battery boxes are drop tested in temperatures ranging from -20 F to +120 F. All necessary mounting hardware is included in the kit. This vented black battery box design is the standard size for Series 24 batteries (10-1/8 inch maximum height). It has four cable openings, enlarged to .55-inch diameter and features larger handles with rolled edges with instructions molded inside the cover.
