This Tekonsha 2028 Shur-Set III Trailer Breakaway Kit with Charger and Clamp On comes with a Universal Shur-Set III™ Breakaway System with 5 Ah Battery, ABCD and Nylon Breakaway Switch (2028) by Tekonsha®. Trailers with electric brakes are required to have a breakaway system that applies the brakes in the unlikely possibility of coming loose from the tow vehicle at speed. These systems use a small lead-acid battery and a switch with a lanyard to the tow vehicle frame. One-year warranty.
