You may ask, will the TrailerLift have enough force to keep the trailer tilted up if the weight is not balanced on the trailer deck? Though the actual weight capacity of the shock is not listed in the product specifications, the following rule of thumb would apply: As long as your deck is balanced, you should only need one trailer lift to keep the trailer tilted in the up position. But, if you have something mounted to the front of your trailer like a metal salt shield and it takes two hands or two people to tilt the trailer, then you may need to use two trailer lift shocks.
