How to Measure the Length of your RV Camper
When measuring your camper for an RV cover, do not rely on manufacturer specs. Depending on the brand these can be very different. A trailer advertised as a 32 footer could likely only have a coach length of 29 feet. Grab a tape measure and measure from bumper-to-bumper, include the spare tire and ladder rack if applicable. No need to measure the hitch for travel trailers and 5th wheel toy haulers.
Write down your Trailer Dimensions
Learn this length or write it down somewhere; this is the measurement you'll need when reserving a campsite.
Before You Put Your Camper Cover On
Whether you choose and ADCO, Camco, Classic or other brand of RV Cover, be sure to pad all sharp corners and edges. Duct tape and foam pipe insulation from a big box hardware store works nicely. If you are storing your RV long term use scrap wood under your tires (as opposed to just parking on pavement or grass) to keep moisture away from your tires. Consider RV tire covers to slow or stop tire dry rotting.
