Pop-up Camper Crank Handle Identification, Spring Sale Products And Camping Trailer Rentals!
From the Mailbag...
Spring has sprung and campgrounds even in the northern states are now open for business. That brings up a very important question for pop-up camper owners: Where did I put the lift crank handle at the end of last year? After a frantic search, you cannot find it. So what do you do next?
HannaRV.com has pop-up cranks for all the major makes/models of pop-up tent campers. And if you need your new crank handle by this weekend, do not fear. HannaRV.com offers expedited shipping options to accommodate your needs. So, how do you determine which crank handle is the correct one?
Many pop-up camper manufacturers have used the same lift system crank handle for every new model since the beginning. Dutchman, Skamper and Flagstaff campers all use the Goshen Systems Crank Handle. Coleman campers only use the Coleman Crank Handle. Jayco and Viking campers use the L & W Crank Handle only.
Other manufacturers, like Coachmen, Rockwood, Starcraft and Palomino have changed to a different type of lift system on their newer models, different from the initial install on their older models. Please consult the FAQ chart on HannaRV.com to determine which model years use which crank handle for these manufacturers or see the following list:
Older
- Coachmen - Prior To 2009 - L & W Crank
- Palomino - Prior To 1980 - Heco Crank
- Rockwood - Prior To 1993 - Rockwood Crank
- Starcraft - Prior To 1994 - Goshen Systems Crank
Newer
- Coachmen By Forest River - 2009 to Current - Goshen Systems Crank
- Palomino - 1980 To Current - Goshen Systems Crank
- Rockwood - 1993 To Current - Goshen Systems Crank
- Starcraft - 1994 To Current - Starcraft Crank
Also remember, having an extra crank handle can be a life saver for you. When the time comes that you are getting ready for vacation and you are making sure the pop-up is packed and ready, you may not have the crank handle where it was supposed to be. If you have an extra crank handle in a safe place, you will not have to delay going on vacation or your weekend camping trip.
We hope you find this information helpful in preparation for your future camping excursions.
